in Boredom, Just Stuff
I am having Thanksgiving at my house this year. Normally we go to my cousins but one just moved and their house is not in order and my other cousin just had a baby (I really need to get a bond to send, maybe during lunch)
My bro and sil and the boys go to her family. So my parents, sister and the princess are my house bound.
I ordered dinner from Wegmans. Turkey – already made, stuffing and sides. Here’s the fun. I don’t eat turkey so I am gonna be eating sides.
I decided I wanted to have Thanksgiving in the dining room, but I may change my mind and just move the kitchen table around. The good thing about getting a pre-cooked dinner, makes getting all the other stuff ready a lot easier.
Everyone is converging on my house Wednesday so this weekend, I am going to finish my laundry, get my good will together and make the guest room for comfy sleeping.
What are you doing for Thanksgiving
oh and Robin – I sit in the same place so the remotes stay there.

Normally I have 20 -25 guest. I cook 2 turkeys and start days ahead of time cooking.
This year, I didn’t invite them. Just having 8 people.
I’m way excited about that.

I am cooking! I’ve ordered my turkey… fresh! Janie will be my right-hand girl this year. She’s famous for apple crisp and homemade cranberry sauce, among other delights. Our 3 other kids and their families will be out out town visiting in-laws and the like, so this year it is kind of quiet… Jane, her husband Steve, my mom, Barry and me. There is talk of maybe my husband’s brother and wife and son… that would be wonderful… and some other family members/friends will be stopping in later in the day.
We’ll begin the day with Steve’s high school football game… he’s one of the coaches. Then to my house for the meal. Barry ordered a two 24-pound turkeys! Yikes! He, like his mom who just recently passed away, believes you can NEVER have enough food or leftovers! We’ll roast one turkey for dinner, then put the other one in for guests and those necessary leftovers!
I love it. Every second of it.

Wow. You’re having dinner brought in? NICCCCCCE!
We go camping in Dumont (desert) every year. It’s about an hour away from Las Vegas near Baker.
Which means we have an early Thanksgiving and I think it will be at my house too. I don’t know that we’ll do turkey because we’ll be deep frying a turkey while camping and everyone else will also have a second (and sometimes third) Thanksgiving with their in laws, etc. So we’re thinking maybe prime rib.

You know, I always say, you should have gotten a Turducken.

Thanksgiving’s at my house again; everyone brings something so I don’t go crazy.

Wegmans does Turkey Day? So jealous. We’re ordering from Zorn’s and Stop and Shop and mom’s making some West Indian food. When did the family get so lazy?
