Poppy’s is here
Robin picked me up from my parents house on Saturday afternoon after a hell drive to NY from my sisters in Philly which is a story for never. We took the train in and laughed and talked and had fun. We got in to NY early but found out from twitter that Poppy and Dawg were already at the bar Houndstooth Pub, so we met them there and went in. We had a big table and slowly everyone showed - starting with B.E. Earl and then the guest of honor - REN. Bearette also came w/ her beautiful son who somehow managed to sleep though us talking and laughing and being really loud and having fun. Finally the final participant was Bill who was not expected but was still an honor to have him there. I ended up w/a new fb friend and a new twitter follower.
We ate and drank and drank and drank and talked. I found out that Ren may actually be a girl (he drinks very girly drinks) but then realized he is way to dorky to be a girl (he played D&D and knows way to much about it. No girl is like that and if they are they hide it better then boys usually) but it was all good because Ren is awesome.
We befriended the waiter Roger or tried to at least but he disappeared even after Poppy advised him of Robin and I being single and apparently desperate. (she was not drunk at that point)
after leaving there (and I discovered a waiter had the sexiest Irish accent apparently all night and I did not notice) we went to Serendipity 3 to meet Ren’s wife and kids and in laws but they did not come until after we left (which was after an hour wait)
Robin and I caught the early drunk train home and I tried to convince some drunk minors the LIRR was going to Philly but they couldn’t see the Liberty Bell since it was moved to Mass. If they had been a tad drunker it may have worked
I had a blast and can’t wait to see them again in a few weeks.

I had such a great time. We *will* do that again!
By the way, the table for my family (9 of us, yikes!) at Serendipity 3 became available just as the arrived, so that was cool. It was about 10 or 15 minutes after y’all left.

Sounds like a good time! Sorry I missed it. Can’t wait to meet Ren in Orlando.

Had a great time!
And I already mentioned this to Poppy, but I should have gone straight home when I left you. Got caught in some weird drinking time-warp in Queens and I was out until almost 4AM. Sunday was a mess. Especially because I had to be up early to make dinner for everyone in my family. Yikes!

You forgot to tell them that the drunk guy next to me was humping the side of my body with his leg….then did some borderline homoerotic stuff with his friend….see THAT shit I should have videotaped.
